Spurlin Takes J/70 Governor’s Cup!
(Austin, Texas)- This year’s Austin YC annual Governors Cup Regatta, hosted on the beautiful Lake Travis, featured the first stop on the J/70 Southwest Circuit series.  It was a great event with three (3!) bands, and a championship level barbecue for dinner on Saturday! Not to mention the mandatory kegs of Texas's own Shiner Bock beer.Ten J/70's showed up from out of town and with the four local boats there were 14 boats on the line!  Saturday was a windy day with gusts in the high 20’s, that made for some great downwind rides...

Handing Over the Keys to the Future.
(Annapolis, MD)- The first annual J/70 U.S. Youth Championship will take place August 11-13 in Newport, RI. (Monte Carlo, Monaco)- The Yacht Club de Monaco delighted sailing enthusiasts as it hosted two unusual regattas in the Principality to set the pace for the summer. (San Francisco, CA)- There was an enthusiastic fleet of J/crews that attended their perennial favorite event on San Francisco Bay- the J/Fest San Francisco.  Hosted by St Francis Yacht Club over the April 1st to 2nd weekend, a forty-boat fleet sailed in one-design classes of J/105s, J/111s, J/120s, J/70s and J/24s.  The crews enjoyed Saturday evening’s popular Mt.
